LAKE CARROLL FISHING
The “One That Got Away” Came to Lake Carroll
Fishing at Lake Carroll – is the BEST (of course we do have our own hatchery)! The “Catch of the Day”
can be at the end of your line every day when you fish within the 22-mile shoreline of Lake Carroll. It may surprise you to learn that Lake Carroll, the largest private recreational lake in Illinois, boasts a diverse and numerous fish population.
Like to reel in the big ones? They’re here…
Largemouth Bass – typical length 12”-20”
Walleye – typical length 18”-24”
Northern – typical length 18”-24”
Muskie – typical length up to 40”
If the “snack size” appeals to you, there are…
Crappie – typical length 8”-11”
Bluegill – typical length 7”-9”
Smallmouth Bass – typical length 12”-18”
These are just a sampling of the 25 species known to inhabit Lake Carroll.
Members of the Fishing Club believe fishing is for anglers of every age and are dedicated to promoting fishing and other related safe water sports.
To encourage an interest in the sport (and just for plain fun), Fishing Derbies are held in warm months and attract growing numbers of young anglers.
